library card exhibitionist

Every day or so, a book appears on the hold shelf for me.

Every day or so, I take that book off the hold shelf and put it in my office to check out later.

Because I cannot physically carry home the amount of books I put on hold.

This is a cycle that will never end.

This is my drawer of shame.

I hope you share your thoughts on Tucker Max’s book. I only know one or two other people who liked it.

Did you hear about Jonah Lehrer’s fiasco with made-up quotes? I read his first book and had the others on my list, but those news items kind of changed my opinion of him being worth reading.

Haha, I was thinking about you when I checked out Tucker Max. I read the first chapter and was pretty appalled, but then again, I have low tolerance for gross-out stories. We’ll see how THAT works out.

And I DID hear about that! But I didn’t but the story and the name together, since I’ve been on hold for the book since 1997. Hmmm…

Tucker Max also has a free e-book that I read in one night because I always get suckered into his books and his trashy humor.

MWF Seeking BFF is such a good book! Helped me break into my non-fiction reading streak I had going earlier on in the year.

I really want to read Penelope. I saw it on another blog and they reviewed it well, so now I’m tempted to check it out.

Is it just us, or are there other people out there who just love to hoard library books?
